Does 3D Rendering Have a Place in the Construction Business

Traditionally, a lot of different people are involved when you build or remodel a home. You have to have a designer or architect, a planner for materials, a builder for the actual structure, an electrician, a plumber, and an inspector to make sure everyone else did the job they were hired to do. The construction business has evolved, as all businesses tend to do, and it’s easier to find a single design build firm who will take care of your home project from beginning to end – all in-house.

Traditional Home Construction Company

Designer – Architect: The person who uses the homeowner’s ideas to design a layout and make sure the structure will be safe. Hand drawn or computer sketches are provided to the planner and builder.

Planner: The person who plans materials to be used in construction and for things like countertops and flooring.

Builder: The person who reads the blueprints provided by the designer or architect and actually constructs the home.

Quality Assurance: Usually an inspector, hired to make sure everything has been done up to code.

All in One Construction Company

I’m proud to say that Laurie’s Certified Construction is an all-in-one design build company. We make it easy for you to request a new home build, kitchen remodel, bathroom remodel, or nearly anything home improvement related. Our team consists of people who are experts in their field. Here’s a quick outline of our process:

  • We meet with you to discuss your home and the changes you wish to make.

  • We help you create a budget within which we can both comfortably work.

  • We create 3D renders of the changes you want to make to your home.

  • We meet with you again to review the 3D images to make sure we’re both on the same page before construction begins. We make changes until you are happy with the result.

  • 3D renders and blueprints are given to the build team.

  • Construction is scheduled.

The rest is pretty standard. The work is completed, and then I (Laurie) visit the home to make sure that you are 100% satisfied with the product. Of course we may throw in a few more steps like helping you choose materials, floor styles, paint, or cabinet hardware – full service takes on a whole new meaning with us.

So, to address the question posed in the subject of today’s post – does 3D rendering have a place in the construction business? I have to say, “Yes, absolutely!” Sketches may have been wonderful representations in their day, but today’s technology allows homeowners to see the finished product before it’s even begun.

I am personally available to each and every client during the design build process. I will answer any questions you may have along the way. My ultimate goal is to make sure that your home, kitchen remodel, bathroom remodel, or other handiwork my team does is top notch and of the absolute best quality. Call or email today to schedule a free consultation and estimate. If you like what you hear, we’ll dig into the design and planning process.
